1st December:

"The story starts about 2000 years ago,   when the people of the Holy Land were governed by the Romans."

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2nd December

"In the village of Nazareth, lived a young woman called Mary, who was promised in marriage to a carpenter named Joseph".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3rd December  

"The angel Gabriel came to Mary and told her God had chosen her to be the mother of his Son who would be great"

 

                                                                                                                     

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4th December

"Mary said, "I am the Lord's servant.  May everything you have said about me come true"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5th December  

"An angel also appeared in Joseph's dream and told him not to be afraid but to marry Mary and name the baby Jesus."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6th December

"When Mary was soon to give birth, Caesar sent out an order, that everyone had to return to the town of their birth, to register for tax".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

7th December

"So Mary & Joseph had to make the long journey to Bethlehem, as Joseph was from the family of David".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

8th December

"They packed the saddlebags and made the journey to Bethlehem, with Mary travelling on a donkey".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

9th December  

"A star appeared in the sky, a sign that a great king was about to be born".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

10th December

"Some wise men came from the east.  They saw the star and began to follow it".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

11th December

"They bore gifts of gold, frankinsense   and myrrh, for the awaited newborn king".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

12th December

"They looked for the king in Jerusalem but could only find the cruel King Herod".

 

 

 

13th December   

"King Herod sent the wise men to find the new king, pretending he wanted to worship him".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

14th December  

"When Mary and Joseph arrived in Bethlehem they looked for somewhere to stay but all the inns were full".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

15th December  

"An innkeeper took pity on them and let them stay in his stable".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

16th December

"In the stable there was an ox, a donkey and  a manger, from which they fed".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

17th December  

"The wise men continued to follow the star all the way to Bethlehem where it stopped over the stable."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

18th December   

"In a dream, an angel told the wise men not to tell Herod when they found the new king as Herod wished to harm him."  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

19th December

"In the hills nearby, some shepherds were tending their sheep".

 

     

 

 

20th December

"The shepherds saw a radiant light and the sky was filled with singing angels".

     

 

 

21st December   

"The angels ang "Glory to God in the Highest, peace and goodwill towards men".             

 

            

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

22nd December

"Amazed, the shepherds made the journey to Bethlehem, to visit the baby".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

23rd December

"As the time came for Mary to give birth, there would only be a manger for the newborn king".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

24th December

"For God loved the world so much that he gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost but have eternal life",  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

25th December

"Some of the best presents Jesus gives us are Joy, Hope, Peace and Love".
