Our three churches offer a range of service styles each Sunday.  Our regular services include: said and sung Holy Communion; All Age Worship; and service of the Word.  Special services are held to celebrate major festivals such as Christmas, Easter, Harvest etc. and several times a year the three parishes worship together in a joint Benefice service.

You are also welcome to join us for a chat over a cup of coffee after each service.

Sunday 4 June – Pentecost

Everyone is invited to wear the colour red to church this Sunday as we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. This includes the following…..

Service of Commissioning for our new Lay Pastoral Assistants, Ruishton Church, 3.00 pm

We hope that many will come to support our new Lay Pastoral Assistants in our Benefice as they are commissioned to assist with pastoral ministry in our parishes. Please pray for Margaret Gibbins, Shelly Froom, Sonia Tucker, Maggie Savage and Gill Underhay and their new ministry. Also the other candidates: Liz Thompson, Dean Whittaker, Nirmala, and Sue Lodge from local parishes. Please also pray for our Rural Dean Adrian Youings as he comes to commission them, and preach. Tea and cakes will be served after the service.

There will be no morning service at Ruishton that day because we would like to encourage as many people as possible to come this service in the afternoon. We shall also be welcoming visitors from other local churches who are supporting their candidates, including their incumbents and churchwardens whose candidates are being commissioned to this new ministry.

We look forward to welcoming our new Archdeacon of Taunton, the Ven Simon Hill to our church this Sunday. He will be preaching at Ruishton at 9.30 am and at Creech at 11.00 am. He has not visited our churches before, so I’m sure we will give him a warm welcome. One reason I have invited him is because it is my last Sunday before I start my forthcoming Sabbatical or Extended Ministerial Development Leave. He is coming to meet us all, explain a bit more about the leave, and give us all some encouragement! I hope we will make every effort to come to church that Sunday.

MORNING PRAYER 8.30-9.00 am Mondays to Thursdays at Creech Parish Church. A short, quiet, said service where we pray for the needs of our Benefice, wider community and world. All welcome. If you would like us to include anything in our prayers, please let us know, or fill in one of the prayer cards in our churches.
